If you are hard-working, enthusiastic and love tennis, we've got an amazing opportunity for you! Be on court with some of the best women's tennis players in the world for a once-in-a-lifetime experience as a Connecticut Open Ball Person!
Join us August 19-27, 2016 to serve some of the best tennis players in the world at one of the area's signature events all while giving back to your community.
The Connecticut Open is committed to making a difference in the communities we live in by supporting women's, youth and military causes.  But we can't do it alone, so don't wait any longer, sign up today andhave a blast doing good for your community.

  • Fun opportunity to be a part of a professional women's tennis event and a great way to make new friends!
  • Receive an official tournament uniform of two (2) t-shirt, shorts and a hat
  • Receive two (2) complimentary tickets to three (3) early round sessions
    • Sunday, August 21 (Session 1)
    • Monday, August 22 Evening (Session 3)
    • Tuesday, August 23 Evening (Session 5)
  • Meal coupons- $11 for each shift you volunteer
  • Free parking (must have a valid driver's license)
  • Weeklong credential to the tournament, allowing access to the Stadium Court for designated shifts and unlimited access to other tournament grounds
  • Ball Person Celebration on Saturday, August 13
  • Must be between the ages of 12-20
  • Attend training sessions (number of sessions required based on experience)
  • Must work a minimum of the first five days of the tournament (August 19-23)
  • Attend a Ball Person celebration on Saturday, August 13 at 9:00am.  Enjoy breakfast with your fellow Ball Persons, attend a Ball Person information session and pick up your uniform, tickets and credential.  
  • Saturday, July 9 from 9 am - 11:30 am
  • Sunday, July 10 from 9 am - 11:30 am
  • Saturday, July 23 from 9 am - 11:30 am
  • Sunday, July 24 from 9 am - 11:30 am
All 1st and 2nd year ball persons must attend two of the four sessions.  All other ball persons must attend one training session.
All training session to be held at the Yale University tennis courts directly across from the Connecticut Tennis Center at Yale.  For GPS driving directions please use 45 Yale Avenue, New Haven.


Ball Person registration for the 2016 tournament is now closed.  Thank you to all who came out to the training sessions.  Registration for the 2017 tournament will be made available in the spring of 2017.
