If you are hard-working, enthusiastic and love tennis, we've got an amazing opportunity for you! Be on court with some of the best women's tennis players in the world for a once-in-a-lifetime experience as a Connecticut Open Ball Person!
Join us August 18-26, 2017 to serve some of the best tennis players in the world at one of the area's signature events all while giving back to your community.
The Connecticut Open is committed to making a difference in the communities we live in by supporting women's, youth and military causes.  But we can't do it alone, so don't wait any longer, sign up today and have a blast doing good for your community.

  • Fun opportunity to be a part of a professional women's tennis event and a great way to make new friends!
  • Receive an official tournament uniform of two (2) t-shirt, shorts, a hat and longsleeve pullover. 
  • MORE complimentary tickets - Receive two (2) tickets to four (4) early round sessions:
    • Sunday, August 20 (Session 1)
    • Monday, August 21 Evening (Session 3)
    • Tuesday, August 22 Evening (Session 5)
    • Wednesdat August 23 Day (Session 6)
  • Meal coupons- $11 for each shift you volunteer
  • Free parking (must have a valid driver's license)
  • Weeklong credential to the tournament, allowing access to the Stadium Court for designated shifts and unlimited access to other tournament grounds
  • Ball Person Celebration: more to come 
  • Must be between the ages of 12-20
  • Attend training sessions (number of sessions required based on experience)
  • Must work a minimum of the first five days of the tournament (August 18-22)
  • Attend a Ball Person celebration on Saturday, August 12 @9am.
  • Saturday, July 15 from 9 am - 11:30 am
  • Sunday, July 16 from 9 am - 11:30 am
  • Saturday, August 5 from 9 am - 11:30 am
  • Sunday, August 6 from 9 am - 11:30 am
All 1st and 2nd year ball persons must attend two of the four sessions.  All other ball persons must attend one training session.
All training session to be held at the Yale University tennis courts directly across from the Connecticut Tennis Center at Yale.  For GPS driving directions please use 45 Yale Avenue, New Haven.
